They are pretty thick and there is a stiffness to them that gives them a nice quality feel-like a hard candy shell for the front of your phone. I feel pretty confident it will protect the 4 inch screen very well! They are cut perfectly for the Droid 3 with a hole each for the speaker and front-facing camera. Application was a little challenging to get just right, but I'm a perfectionist. No problems though because they are a dry application. I just lifted and re-aligned until I got it just right. After the third time, I found that once I set the top of the protector, taking care to align it with the speaker and the camera, I could just hold the protector from the bottom and gently bend the bottom upward to create a slight concave arc on the protector (not too much because I didn't want to crease it) which put a slight downward pressure on the... The measurements are pretty much dead on. The quality of these protectors are very good.Usage wise, these are some of the best I've used on any device. As others have mentioned, they also come in some nice cardboard packaging so they don't arrive bent. Putting them on was also pretty easy.The only issue is that they cover up the proximity sensor. When this sensor is covered, you have to slide the keyboard out to access the dial pad during a phone call and the pocket detection feature does not work properly. I cut out a small section so that the proximity sensor is not covered and now the screen saver is perfect. I used an exacto knife so that the cut was sharp and precise. This does not seem to inhibit the function of the screen protector. In case you don't know, the proximity sensor is between the message indicator light and the ear speaker. |
